If you like to fellowship with other progressive minded Christians, learn the latest in cutting edge theology and religious studies, and be challenged to grow in your faith and spiritual journey, this is the group for you!
This group meets once a month, usually the last Monday, in the home of church members for a potluck supper at 6:30 PM, followed by discussion of a book or topic. Past meetings have focused on Process Theology, Historical Jesus Studies, Progressive Christianity, World Religions and Spirituality.
For more information as to time, place and location, as well as what book is currently used by the group, please call the church office at 714-544-1319, or churchoffice@chotf.org.

The Advocates for Peace, Benovelence and Justice are a small group ministry. We meet monthly to discuss and plan our activities. We are also involved with groups beyond the limits of our congregation...Progressive Christians Uniting, and Orange County Interfaith. Our meetings are the first Monday of each month, at 7:30 in the library. Please feel welcome to join us.
This is our Mission Statement --
We, the "Advocates for Peace, Benevolence and Justice" a small group ministry of the Church of the Foothills, strive to:
Be prophetic witnesses in the church and in the world, steadfastly proclaiming the radically inclusive love of God.
Educate our faith community to pursue justice, equity, and fairness in the treatment of all people, in particular those most vulnerable in society.
Seek justice for all of God's children regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, age, class background, or sexual orientation.

Looking for a way to get your family involved in an ongoing outreach project in our community? Join the Soup Kitchen crowd as we prepare and serve lunch at our local soup kitchen, Southwest Community Center, on the fifth Sunday of the month! This is a great hands-on service project for children of all ages (four and up, well supervised). We also need help with four bake sales throughout the year to finance the lunches we serve. For more information, call Dan Griset at (714) 973-2100 or Carmen Mercado at (714) 328-9192.

Join this lively group for fellowship and fun on Saturday, February 21 at 5:30 p.m. for a potluck dinner and movie (the name of which is never divulged ahead of time) at the home of Jerry and Kathy Dunlap.
The Mixed Media group will also be going to San Jan Capistrano on Sunday, March 15 to see a melodrama The Broken Badge at the Camino Real Playhouse. You can BOO the villain, CHEER the handsome hero and SIGH for the beautiful heroine in this melodrama, which takes place in the late 1920’s. We will be taking the train from the Santa Ana Station at 12:00 noon, having brunch/lunch at Sarducci’s Restaurant, which is adjacent to the train stop, and walking a few short blocks to the theater for a 2:00 performance. The tickets are $20 each and the train ride for a round trip fare is $15 for adults and $12.75 for seniors.
If you are interested in attending one or both of these upcoming events, contact Jerry or Kathy Dunlap. We hope you will join us! Back to Top

This group focuses on using Yoga as a tool to better connect with and integrate Body, Mind and Spirit. Various meditation and breathing techniques are explored as well as philosophy and postures. There is no need to be flexible or even in shape. All meetings are self-paced and everyone is welcome. Yoga is all about experiencing who you are in the moment and experiencing life with the clarity of love which is what all spiritual masters came to teach. Please bring is a mat, an open mind and heart. This exploration of Self has the added benefit of learning to tune in to who we are and in the process, harness your own unique power to self heal.
Group meets every Tuesday at 9 am to 10:15 at the social hall. For more information contact Jody or the Church Office Back to Top
