PEACE, BENEVOLENCE and JUSTICE

The Advocates for Peace, Benovelence and Justice are a small group ministry. We meet monthly to discuss and plan our activities. We are also involved with groups beyond the limits of our congregation...Progressive Christians Uniting, and Orange County Interfaith. Our meetings are the first Monday of each month, at 7:30 in the library. Please feel welcome to join us.

This is our Mission Statement --

We, the "Advocates for Peace, Benevolence and Justice"
a small group ministry of the Church of the Foothills,
strive to:

Be prophetic witnesses in the church and in the world,
steadfastly proclaiming the radically inclusive love of God.

Educate our faith community
to pursue justice, equity, and fairness in the treatment of all people,
in particular those most vulnerable in society.

Seek justice for all of God's children
regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, age, class background, or
sexual orientation.

FIFTH SUNDAY'S AT SOUTHWEST COMMUNITY CENTER (Soup Kitchen)
Looking for a way to get your family involved in an ongoing outreach project in our community? Join the Soup Kitchen crowd as we prepare and serve lunch at our local soup kitchen, Southwest Community Center, on the fifth Sunday of the month! This is a great hands-on service project for children of all ages (four and up, well supervised). We also need help with four bake sales throughout the year to finance the lunches we serve.

For more information, contact:                                                                                                               Dan Griset, (714) 973-2100 or Carmen Mercado, (714) 328-9192. Back to Top

HEARTS & MINDS
A group that exchanges time listening and sharing, secure in confidentiality and without advice or judgment. This kind of listening and speaking can be a healing practice for reclaiming our own good hearts and can get our brains out of ruts caused by old hurts we've experienced.  We are building community and transforming the way we interact with the world.
